Mr. Phok Sarom is a farmer who lives at Brochak village, Prey Mol commune. He borrowed 20 USD from Prey Mol credit union for gowing long bean and cucumber on his half-hectar of land.

The loan is for three months. He sold his vegetables to the neighbors and midleman from the market at Kampong Chnang province after 3 month harvest. He got 130 USD after sold to the market. He repaid 22 USD including interest to the credit union. He bought two female piglets cost 100 USD (each cost 50 USD) from his earning money. Now, his two female pigs have delivered 21 piglets after he was raising for a year and he sold 15 piglets to his villagers with the cost 50 USD each. Sarom will continue growing vegetables and pig raising as the extra business after rice cultivation. Living condition of Sarom’s family is improving, and he is also sending a son to Phnom Penh for continuing study at Norton University.
