Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative (SRAUAC) is collective movement of Farmer cooperatives in Siem Reap province in the purpose of sharing agricultural Technical information, markets, agricultural technology, finance, related agricultural law, Agricultural quality and standard, agricultural enterprises, agricultural product Processing, agricultural productivity and increase of income for livelihood and economic. Improvement among farmer members in Siem Reap province Currently there are twelve agricultural cooperatives as the members of the SRAUAC from All district of Siem Reap province.

Our Identity:

Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative (SRAUAC) is a non-government agricultural Organization intended for social and economic gain purpose and not engaged in any Politics, no political partisan and is not the political tools for any political partties, by in any mean, not providing any material support, financial support, human resources, support to any political parties, political candidate, or any political supporters. Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative is only working for interest of the social, economic, technical and marketing for cooperative members of the alliance

Our Vision:

Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative (SRAUAC) has a vison to improve lives and economy of farmers who are members of the cooperatives through strengthening agricultural skills, agribusiness skills, national and international markets, seeking development partners, legal support, advocacy at provincial level, national level and International level in the purpose of solving problems faced by farmer cooperatives who are unable to solve their problem at their own capacity. SRAUAC also has a vision to promote one village one product (OVOP) of the government’s policy through creation of new agricultural product among member cooperative in Siem Reap province.

Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative (SRAUAC) has missions (on bahalf of the cooeprative members) to facilitate, cooperate and working with relevant stakeholders, donors, private sectors, government agencies, development partners, customers in order to assist member cooperatives to get ecoomic benefit, technology access, market access in equitable and sustainable way as mentioned in the above objective.

Membership

Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative is open to all farmer cooepratives in Siem Reap which offically registered with provincial department of Siem Reap wishing to join Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap. All farmer cooperatives who are members of Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative shall be abid by princile, regualtion of Siem Reap Angkor Union of Agricultural Cooperative and laws of Cambodia.

Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap is open to new membership based on decsion of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap’s committee.

Article 12: Membership Fee

In order to support the initial operation of the Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap, it is decided that with agreement from each cooperative member, a one time of membership fee shall paid to Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap for the amount of 200000 riels (Tweenty Thousand Riels) for each farmer cooeprative. after paying the membership fee, the cooperative member is entotled to participate in decision making and obtain benefits and services provided by Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap equally.

Article 13: Membership Process

Farmer cooperative who wishes to gain membership of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap must have concensus from its farmer’s members through its general conference. Farmer cooperative who wishes to gain membership of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap must submit membership application officially along with its general conference’s report or minute. Farmer cooperative who wishes to gain membership of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap must pay its membership fee.

Article 14: Membership Criteria

Farmer cooperative who wishes to gain membership of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap must have official registration and legal recognition from provincial Department of Siem Reap province.

Article 15: Staff recruitment

At the initial phase, activities of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap shall be implemented by the management committee which is mandated by its member cooperatives through election. the activiites are implemnted through the forms of volunteer and in the form of wage (funded by project or from Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap). but in the long run Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap can recruits staffs working for Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap as neccessary through a fair, transparent process and workign contract according to the law of Cambodia.

Article 16: By-law and regulation application

All members and officers of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap shall apply and follow strictly of by-law and regulations of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap. members shall not use name of Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap for their personal or individual gain or benefit except for common interest.

Article 17: Penalty

In case of severe breach by any member, Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap shall convence meeting of displinary committee to decide on penalty to breach-members or expulsion of membership from Farmer Cooperative Alliance of Siem Reap.
